Nestled in the scenic hills of Northeast Tennessee, Farmology is a family-owned and locally operated agro-tourism destination unlike any other. Founded by Dr. Eric Barton and the Barton Family, our farm is designed to be a place where relaxation, adventure, and discovery come together in one unforgettable setting.
A Farm Experience Beyond the Ordinary
Farmology blends the charm of the countryside with experiences that surprise and delight. Guests can enjoy hiking and horseback riding trails, gather around cozy fire pits, or explore their adventurous side with our state-of-the-art gun range and catch-and-release fishing ponds stocked with bass and more.
What makes Farmology truly unique is the chance to meet and connect with our remarkable collection of animals. From mini horses, camels, and sheep to kangaroos, wallabies, monkeys, giant tortoises, and more, guests of all ages will encounter creatures often only seen in zoos—right here on the farm.
Farmology will first open its doors for farm visits, school field trips, and private tours, with our bed and breakfast lodging debuting in Winter 2025. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful day trip with family, a one-of-a-kind wedding or private event setting, or a future getaway in our boutique lodging, Farmology offers experiences you’ll treasure.
Our lodging will feature modern comforts wrapped in rustic elegance, including:
